Well, I had written an ENTIRE post yesterday, and there was an error in publishing it. And it was just GONE. Annoying when you put time into typing it all out... anyhow, moving on.
We are now on DAY 8. And, thank goodness, I've finally started losing again. After I had gained the .2 as I reported earlier, the follwing day, I gained another .4, I think. But, this morning (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!), I was down again!
Weight - 116.6 lbs
Fat - 19.8 % (yesterday, I was 19.6)
Muscle - 36.8 %
We went to an Ace's Baseball game last night, which was fun, but also challenging. People everywhere eating and drinking delicious things that I wanted! At one point when we were leaving, two little boys were mowing down some ice cream cones and I said, "Give me your ice cream, now." (in my mean voice). The kids turned around and looked at me funny- made both Chris and I laugh.
Briefly, yesterday I ate:
B: oatbran porridge; venti latte, sweetened with Stevia and cinnamon
Snack: Rolled peppered turkey with 1/2 LC cheese
L: Hamd and Turkey w/ remaining 1/2 of LC cheese
Snack: Greek yogurt w/ Stevia and cinnamon
D: 5 sauteed shrimp (in soy/orange/ginger/garlic sauce) and a small piece of salmon in the same sauce; a few bites of FF cottage cheese
Today's food:
B: oatbran porridge
Snack: prob greek yogurt
L: prob lunch meat with LC cheese and sliced red pepper (it's a PV day, at least!)
Snack: FF cottage cheese
D: not sure yet. It is my birthday and all. I told Chris I may want to cheat a little, and maybe get a dessert of some sort. I gave him a few ideas and he is home busy planning it out.
I hope my small cheat lapse will not have too much a detrimental effect on the loss. I want to switch to consolidation phase like NOW! Sooner I get to my goal, sooner I can do that!

Day 6. Dukan.
Well, I was down a total of 3.6 lbs on my 5th day. Today, I woke up to a .2 lb increase in my weight. Not a lot, but still, not a loss, either. Boo. It could be many things. Once a person reaches the Cruise phase (adding vegetables every other day), sometimes the weight will hit a plateau or go up and down, until it tapers off. I read that kosher, all beef hotdogs were allowed (occassionally), so I bought some yesterday and ate one. Fried in a pan with SF ketchup on the side. Found out today, it was supposed to be a fat free (FF) hotdog. Woops. So that could be the answer to my minimal weight gain, possibly.
Anyhow, still goin' strong. On day 6 today. Yoga has been a little tough... I feel my energy is lacking somewhat. The book says not to exert yourself too much, because your body can't really handle it right now. I tried to take it easy, but it was still a bit challenging (more so than normal). Hopefully it will get better.
Food gets a little boring and I sometimes dread eating what I have planned to eat. But after I eat it, I'm okay. I feel full and mostly satisfied (except for my palate... hehe). But, it's sustainable. So far.
Today, I've had...
Breakfast: 1/2 c FF cottage cheese and a FF/SF Iced Latte (sweetened with Vanilla Stevia)
Snack: lunch meat - Ham and Turkey with a Light Laughing Cow Cheese
Lunch: Salad - rotisserie chicken, tomatoes, red pepper, onion and balsamic dressing
Dinner: (made last night) Cauliflower Gratin - ground turkey, onion, mushroom, with pureed cauliflower on top and baked with some FF Shredded Cheddar Cheese.
Can't wait to reintroduce bread back into my diet in one month. I.CAN.DO.IT.

Dukan - Day 2
So, let's see. Day 2.
I weighed myself in the morning, and was down .6 lbs. I cannot recall the other stats, but I think they were nearly the same as Day 1.
120.0 lbs.
Menu
Breakfast: (4) 96/4 ground beef meatballs with spicy ketchup (red pepper flakes in zero-carb ketchup) and a non-fat latte, sweetened with vanilla stevia
Lunch: (5) dill pickle slices, 2.5 oz of sliced turkey lunch meat, non-fat cottage cheese
Dinner: 1/2 Filet (BBQ), (5) BBQ Shrimp with spicy seasoning and a bit of soy sauce. 1/2 a bottle of Vitamin Water Zero. I also had my oatbran porridge after dinner, because I tried making it at work for breakfast and it blew up all over the microwave. wah wah.
I guess it's not quite as difficult as I anticipated. Yes, there are times when I really, really want some bread. But it's just for a quick second, and then the feeling goes away.
I am going to try one more day of pure protein (PP) then switch over to the Cruise phase, adding vegetables! Although I am taking my dear friend, Stephany, out to lunch for her BIRTHDAY (today - Day 3), I'll try to find something I can eat without doing too much damage to the diet. For sure, this diet is not social.

Dukan - Day 1
So, I am starting the Dukan Diet today. Day 1. I anticipate this being a bit tough, but I feel that I have the will power to lose that little bit of pudge I've been packing.
Starting weight: 120.6 lbs
Body Fat: 20.6%
Muscle: 36.8%
Breakfast: (currently eating)
FF Greek Yogurt, sweetened with Vanilla Stevia, and the prescribed 1.5 TBS Oatbran mixed in. I may also have a slice of lunch meat (boars head, of course) - ham or turkey as part of breakfast, or for a snack.
Oh, and an iced latte with skim milk, sweetened with Vanilla Stevia.
Lunch:
1/2 cup (approx.) shredded rotisserie chicken - breast meat
2 slices of ham lunch meat
2 slices of turkey lunch meat
Snack:
2 lean ground beef meatballs
Dinner: (not sure)
Fish, maybe - in foil packets. Likely, halibut. Seasoned with lemon juice, salt and pepper, and herbs.
And, later this evening (since I did not go to yoga today), the prescribed 20 minutes of brisk walking. Let's hope the wind isn't too annoying.
Wish me luck.

All "tatted" up!
So... what did I do this past weekend, you ask? I got a tat. That's right, a real tat, on the most painful place possible... so I was told by the tattoo artist shortly thereafter. Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck. I knew it was going to hurt, but I had so much anxiety b/c I had NO idea what to expect. I kept wavering back and forth while Chris was getting his tattoo. Oh yes, did I forget to mention, Chris and I got "MATCHING" tattoos. Of course, I want Chris to go first. And the entire time, I am freaking myself out more and more. At one point, or maybe a few points, I didn't think I could go through with it. But, I eventually summoned up the courage, and did it. Honestly, it wasn't nearly as bad as I had worked it up to be. Don't get me wrong... it was definitely painful, but tolerable (as long as I had some breaks and breathed through it). By the time it was done, I was laying in a puddle of my own sweat and felt like I could've puked... all nerves. Lame. However, I am sure it was entertaining and/or annoying to both Chris and the tattoo artist.
I guess I'm one of the masses now... all tatted up. Hahaha.

MOVING... FINALLY!!!
So, our final walk-through is today. Probably will be moving our stuff in tomorrow. Can't believe it's finally here. It seemed to take FOR...EVER! So many fun, exciting things to look forward to. I don't know where to begin. Probably should let my bank account rehabilitate itself before getting too crazy. 4th of July is going to be sooooo much fun. Pictures coming soon :)

It's been a while...
Where do I begin?
Over the past few months, life has been... well... stagnant. Don't get me wrong, Chris and I are happy. Marriage is great! We are in the process of building a home, which should be complete by mid/end-June. So yes, that is exciting. However, I've seem to hit a brick wall in my career. I am ready to find the "right" job, in which I can stay for quite some time. That is definitely NOT in the area of family law. To be honest, I am sad. I am truly thankful to have a job, but I don't know how much longer I can tolerate this job much longer. Every day is a challenge. Some days I find it hard to breathe. It's Chris, friends and family that get me through it. Who would have thought? My first job as a real attorney... just plain sucks!
Okay... sorry. Enough griping. On to more positive things. Excited for my mom, Megan and Kayleigh to visit next weekend. Hopefully, it will distract me. I always love having family come visit. Will remain optimistic...
Here is the progression of our home, in pictures!

Oh yeah, and the lumber is "green." :)
